At Salus Defense we don't claim to be experts. We do, however, do a lot of research in a variety of health related fields. Because of this we are able to point out some of the health fundamentals that are in the blindspots of many in the general public. Here are just a few that you might not have considered.

Seed Oils,

Think you don't eat any of these toxins? Think again. Almost every processed food, salad dressing, and restaurant food preparation technique is riddled with these gut destroying oils.

We have all been told the lie that eating fat is bad for you because it will make you fat. WRONG!!! We have been fed a diet of fat free foods. Fat free yogurt, cereal, cheese, margarine, pirogies and you name it. All of this distraction is happening while the silent toxin of seed oil is put into these very foods as a replacement. Even some oils that we have considered to be good for us (olive oil as an example) can be quite toxic if heated.

While I can not possibly do full service to the research that has been done to inform people of this microbiome destroyer, I will (in a nut shell) say that your body is constantly building and rebuilding its cells. It needs the basic materials to do this. When we input seed oils we are giving our body toxic material that it can not  use to create healthy cell membranes or easily excrete. This means a huge build up of waste material in our bodies. Every wonder why those active type people, who exercise regularly, still have that "spare tire" around their gut or hips. (You may even be one of them) Well, now you know.

Antibiotics

According to a report by CBS News 80% of Americans are prescribed antibiotics every year.  Initially a “wonder drug” when they were first put into use via Penicillin in the late 1920’s , antibiotics were a welcome advancement in medical science.

However, more and more antibiotics were created and their use soared by the 1950s.   Now, over 60 years later we have had generations of people grow up on antibiotics to treat even minor illnesses and ailments.  This has lead to several setbacks in our overall health.

First, antibiotics are often very effective.  In fact, they are too effective in that they kill not only the bad bacteria, but the good bacteria as well.

So, while they may treat the symptoms of the ailment you are seeking treatment for, but by killing ALL bacteria both good and bad in your gut you are now vulnerable to new health risks.

This diminished presence of healthy bacteria can weaken immune systems, lead to decreased energy levels, affect your sleep patterns, and cause bloating and weight gain as your body cannot properly break down items you consume.

A secondary problem with antibiotics is the dangerous rise of so-called “nightmare bacteria”.

These are bacteria that have evolved overtime and become immune to traditional antibiotics.   In fact, over 23,000 Americans die each year from infections caused by these drug resistant bacteria. 

This is becoming a serious problem and it only highlights the importance for the proper balance of “good” bacteria in your gut.

Fruits and Vegetables

Say WHAAAAT?!?!?!:

To be clear, it is not actually the fruits and vegetables themselves. It is the fact that modern day agricultural practices spray poison all over the food. They are more properly called pesticides and fertilizers. Yes those "veggie burgers" that they have been trying to push instead of meat, are so filled with pesticides that you would be better off not eating at all.

As well as the GMO seeds and other lab technology creeping its way into the agriculture and farming industry.  These chemicals can trigger a number of digestive issues and other harmful reactions.

  • 99% of apples sampled tested POSITIVE for at least one pesticide residue.
  • 98% of peaches and nectarines were coated in harmful pesticides.
  • Strawberries, Apples and Nectarines were the 3 fruits with the highest levels of pesticides found.
  • The Environmental Working Group states that strawberries were "most likely to be contaminated with pesticide residues even after they are picked, rinsed in the field and washed before eating.”

As you can see this is a SERIOUS problem.

It reminds me of the influx of antibiotics which so many years ago was such a great breakthrough in fighting diseases.  But after overuse they turned out to be harmful in the long run.

Similar effect with agricultural technology as pesticides and hormones meant to make our fruit bigger, fresher, and juicier, is now harming us.

Start your own garden now and stop supporting the practices that are poisoning your family. Consuming more poison can only have the result of making them more sick and less intelligent.
